Put on your most comfortable walking shoes for a historical 2-hour guided walking tour presented by San Francisco Architectural Heritage. These rotating tours (first four Saturdays of every month) explore the neighborhoods and architecture that make this city special.

See first-hand some of the finest ensembles of Beaux Arts architecture in America in the “City Beautiful & the Civic Center” tour.

Movie buffs and architecture lovers will enjoy the “Walk Along Broadway,” which peeks at some stunning Victorian and Classical Revival houses including the “Mrs. Doubtfire” house.

The Beyond Union Street: “Walk Through Cow Hollow” explores this neighborhood’s evolution from dairy farms and roadway inns, stables and barns to Victorian houses and mansions, and finally, the grand art deco apartment buildings that replaced many of them.

Note: Please call for monthly schedules and exact meeting locations. May be closed some Saturdays for private events.

Tours depart from Haas-Lilenthal House EXCEPT fhe Civic Center Tour.
Haas-Lilenthal House Tours need 24 hours advance reservation.
Civic Center Tours: Please call 48 hours in advance to make reservations. Civic Center Tour is the only tour that is completely on level ground and is wheelchair accessible.

The “Walk the Fire Line” takes you along Van Ness Avenue near the 1906 fire line and offers marvelous pre- and post-1906 architecture and anecdotes.

Hours: First four Saturdays of the month at 1:30 pm.
Closed: May be closed some Saturdays and major U.S. holidays
