Fancis Ford Coppola wrote much of "The God Father" in the San Francisco Caffe as have a number of poets, writers, composers and artists including Allen Ginsberg, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, and Jack Kerouac. Caffe Trieste has served up some of the best coffees in San Francisco. The menu at Caffe Trieste includes Italian pastries, muffins, bagels, sandwiches, salads, light fare, pizza and focaccia. Wine and beer are also served. The Giotta Family's famous Saturday afternoon concert takes place each week. The Caffe, located in the North Beach area, along with it's sister location at 1000 Bridgeway Street in Sausalito, serves over 600,000 cups of coffee each year.
